Life’s a Beach Hut | Lead Artist and Workshop Leader

Collaboration with Chol Theatre Company August 2015

Creating a theatre production and art and sound installation produced by the community in a series of drop in workshops based at Connect Housing Dewsbury. Over an intense two week project, we engaged people of all ages, cultures, backgrounds, abilities and situations in theatre, performance and textile art workshops. Alongside producing Art it was a very unique way of teaching basic hand sewing and machine sewing skills to all involved, beginner to intermediate. Based on seaside, holiday memories and what coming home means. Exploring current issues of belonging and being new to a town and country. The results were magical.
